EDL Northwest (EDL NW) was originally established as a member of the Emissaries of Divine Light organization, a church founded in 1932 for the purpose of the spiritual regeneration of humanity. In 2018, EDL NW became its own independent 501(c)(3) organization.

It continues its founding mission through philanthropic giving aligned with some of the core tenets of the Emissaries of Divine Light philosophy. Care for one’s physical and spiritual well-being and care for the planet are two of these key tenets.

“This earth is designed to support, to reveal, the beauty of God in action, and that action comes because of man, male and female. We cannot return to this state without having respect for the holiness of the ground upon which we walk, respect for how we tread upon this ground and what we do with it. The earth is the Lord’s, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein can become an accurate description when we stand upon the earth in an  awareness of the holiness of this planet.”
